Clever choice of words. However, while Gentoo or LFS may be quicker to install (like you said, in 5 minute), the configuring of these distributions afterwards would take much longer.

I suggest you go back to Reddit or /g/-Technology though, and stop trying to deceive other users.

Stop spreading FUD about Gentoo. Have you ever used it? No! I did! And I got the Tux with it in like an hour. 5 min for installing and setting up, 55 min for Steam and downloading TF2.

55 minutes for download Steam and TF2? What third world country do you live in? Yes I have tried Gentoo, if you want ulitimate customisability it is the way to go, however, new users should stick to Elementary OS, Mint or Noobuntu.

Ubuntu is ♥♥♥♥ and hard to use it's also bugged as hell. Windows rulez! Elementary OS and Mint are based on Ubuntu, so they are ♥♥♥♥ too. Gentoo is really good for noobs like you and me who just want to get their tux.
