None of the classes are OP.

Also, his DPS is disappointing for a short range class. At point blank, Heavy can deal 520 damage per second. Pyro can deal 100 - 200 in the same time.
1. Demoman

3. No class.
Only two standouts are the explosive classes, both of them are both versatile and effective in almost any situation, + high damage no matter what.

If you knew how to counter him, Demoman would NOT be a problem.
Also, how exactly does the Pyro's range "metaphorically" limit him? This isn't English class..
yes you can counter stickyspam and stickytraps
Sure, you'll likely die to that Sniper more, but heck, they are a Sniper. It's also kind of the only thing they can do.
Soldier
Because, well, loads of weapons, buffs, you name it. Heck. he might as well be the face of the damned comics to boot. The poor support classes get bugger all time. Engie has vanished off the face of the earth, and Medic has only just gotten a page or two appearence...With words!
Demoman
Somewhat lacking behind Soldier, Demo is still freaking powerful. He has gotten mostly sweet weapons throughout the years, and while not as many buffs as Scout, his bombs are enought o make up for the fact.
Scout
Correct me if I am wrong, but i'm pretty sure Scout has more buffs then Demo. He's not rated higher because of Demo's stickybomb jumping ability and overal dangerous damage outlet, but Scouts can be the scariest damned things if in the hands of a great player. Certainly a match for the other 2 if played correctly.
Below that i'd rate......
Engie
Due to his sentries, you pretty much need an uber most of the time to destroy them. Heavens forbid if it's more then one. While a good demo can usually take out the most annoying sentries with explosives it's best to have some backup. Do Engies technically have a combat Engi loadout called the revengineers, or do we not count that?
Medic
Medic, while awesome with the charge and healz, *and my main* I wouldn't consider OP at all, in fact, I wish Valve would just give the Medic a combat Medic loadout to help with defending himself. I actually hope that Valve might be able to do a *combat* variation for each of the classes that are not so well suited to combat. *Sniper, for instance* not to be on equal power levels as Solly, mind you, but just a decent chance at actually surviving.
Right...This is where things get rather difficult for me to round out.....
Sniper
While Sniper is support class, and they have rather limited roles and low ability for self defence, the fact that they can be so dann hated by many is a testament to how good the class can be, if used in the right hands. Sure, a Spy is sneakier, but heck, they have to get right behind you to do anything signifigent much of the time. That's why Sniper is here.
Spy
While spies can be equally as buggersome as Snipers, they get somewhat lower on the list due to the fact they have to be...RIGHT BEHIND YOU, to kill you. Sure, sometimes they will take the gun and use it on you, and they have a few nice guns, but despite the fact they have lots of neat ways to hide themselfes, people have been getting Spy savvier over the years, and the amount of ways to detect a Spy slowly increasing. I'm sure it's a fun class to play as, but dang, it must be tough.
Heavy
I rarely see heavies, to be honest. They are very slow, very low level of learning. Playstyle could be considered, well, the most boring of the classes...They can be a powerhouse under right conditions, especially backed by Medic or other classes, but on their own, they are rather fragile.
Okay, to be honest, very close call between the last four classes as to who is the weakest, but i'm going Pyro for really one reason, to make it simple.
Pretty much any class can kill Pyro from a distance. Even me maining as Medic can syringe gun them to death if I don't fool around.
Yes, I know Pyro is not meant to be attacking straight at you, face to face, more like....Attacking you from behind, but that is rarely an option given maps and general player awareness. Pyro is OP in most public servers, but underpowered anywhere else. Spy can hide and disguise as a means to escape, Pyro has to do essentially what a Spy does to kill anyone yet they can't hide. 50 hp more. really isn;t that much in the thick of things. For this reason you have to be as sneaky as possible. Heck, even sneakier then spies, how wierd.
But yeah, it's a pretty close call. No class is op, just powerfull.
Physically is how short the Pyro's range is. Metaphorically is how good it can be. Not an English class, like you said, but you did ask so yeah.

With these equipped, i can't be a cheap bastard and easily get kills.
