Track creation
Will there be any tools to allow track creation, so we can try to recreate our favorite/local tracks?

First of all sorry for my bad english. I've got an Idea for tracks in KartKraft. Maybe we can create tracks with Google Maps than only add the curbs and ready.
Thank you!

Hi Tony, I suspect if there are any tools are made available you will be able to import a background image to trace around the circuit (although it could just be a toolset to import without any helper tools), dont forgot even if you can roughly trace the layout it will just give a flat track. From there it might be as simple as giving a start/finish and pit to be usable, but to create something that looks and feels right will likely take some considerable time and effort.

We will be adding an in-game editor for placement of barriers, tyres, preset curbs etc after launch, however there are no immediate plans for a fully fledged track editor.

KartKraft will be a success only if we could create the tracks.

I hope so.

Oh yes!!!! I would love to see a track editor or create your own track. Would love to have my home track on this game. ;-)

Guys just wait for a little longer.. maybe your local track will already be in the game...

And if it aint then i'll mod it for you if KK Allows Track modding

I promise...

Asking for an in game track editor that you can make your own track in is asking for them to implement autocad or 3ds max in to a sim. And the idea of using google maps to make tracks simply defies the requirements of 3d modeling in general. Plus unless your home track is a very well known national level track it is highly unlikely they'll laser scan it. As long as track modding exists which im sure it will you'll see plenty of tracks from around the world. I know personally I'll be porting all of my tracks from KRP to KK.

They have already confirmed the tracks that will be avilable intailly, and that they will add addtional tracks through a voting system.
My question was track creation tools (not a full editor), the answer provided suggests that it will not be possible through modding, unlike KRP (via track tools). However some form of editor is planned for the future.

Hi HighHo - Releasing track tools to allow you to import your own tracks made in external programs, is something we are currently evaluating and discussing internally. If there is enough demand, then we will look at releasing those tools to the community.

Modding tools can give a racing game more longevity. It did for Flatout 1 nad 2 ( we made our own tools ) and rFactor.

Any news about this editor? Thanks!

The game was sold to another company over 2 years ago. Old roadmaps just ceased to exist.
