I loved Sol Trader and think it has some great ideas that larger games just don't do. I recently decided to give game dev a shot to also try some ideas that I think are fun, but just aren't seen in most hames. Some of your comments in the article gave me some great stuff to think about and keep in mind....

ejecting people or shooting people always results in half the galaxy knowing about it, even with no witnesses around, bug? if not, what causes it?

I just bought the game today, after the new patch. After 1 day of play the game has crashed 4 times -- and I have a brand new computer!

I can't give back the last ship I have. I always give back the wrong ship. Top or not top. I just had two ships and it was not of interest which of the two was top, I always gave back the wrong one. Have this game for one or two hours and I am not impressed with such problems. Sorry. If I want to give back a ship, I should be able to select which one. There should not be some super duper internal logic which decides for itself which ship to give back....
