Same thing happened with the Skyrim mod.
Now if they could make it, they'd have to do it unannounced and basically underground, it'd never get to steam.
Basically more hassle then it's worth, lets just hope that CA gets the licence to make one.
(The reason that Third age exists, is that it came out ages ago and there's no point putting a cease and desist on it creators as it's been distributed to a vast amount of people.)
i doubt it, lotr games are ♥♥♥♥ and they know it and theyre probably happy to have something like this thats actual quality, if the gameplay was closer to the franchise games you'd be right.. but total war is too unique
i think the idea is great though, with fictional character aspects comes great balancing ideas for gameplay over and above what any "historically accurate" depiction can present. war is rarely fair and balanced. Games demand it. what this TW series could do with in IMHO is that very aspect. A new fictionaly based intellectual property powerfull enough to warrant a TW series.
