I bought this game expecting a simple platformer with some sort of Lovecraftian story interwoven between the levels. What I got was a rather advanced platformer with a macabre theme.
I'm not very good at platformers, so I am not the best judge about their difficulty. But there are some things in this game that make it difficult. In addition to some other techniques, this game requires timed jumping, timed levels, and jumping off of enemies. All of these are well known techniques, but they are still difficult. There are no new mechanics to add difficulty, so it is just the difficulty of basic platforming raised to a rather high level.
I was also interested in the game because it had the 'Lovecraftian' tag. I was expecting some story between the different levels. There was no story. Instead of being Lovecraftian, I would call it just macabre until possibly the very end. Even then it is more of a reference than it is a story.
I would only recommend this game if you really need to play a different platformer.
-no interesting mechanics (There is the eversion mechanism, but it is not new and doesn't introduce much.)
-difficulty is rather high just to play the game
