Upcoming Version and Calibrations Update (Durability)
Attention: Dark Souls II players!

We will be pushing a version and calibrations update in the coming weeks to address a few gameplay enhancements. Please see below for a list of changes:

On Steam (DirectX 9), Steam (DirectX 11):
--Fixed issue whereby weapon durability was decreased drastically when used on enemy corpses, friendly characters, etc. (Especially apparent for users running the game at 60 fps as the durability decrease rate was linked to the frame rate) were not properly registering in-game.
--Fixed issue whereby actions requiring both button and stick controller input (Jump Attack, Guard Break).

Steam (DirectX 11):
--Fixed issue whereby summoning sign was displayed in Drangleic Castle and Throne of Want even though the player had defeated all bosses in the area.
--Fixed issue whereby the moment of death replay for some blood stains weren't being displayed online.
--Fixed issue whereby client side may hang during the event movie for Laddersmith Gilligan in Earthen Peak.
--Fixed issue whereby the Host may not be able to load their save data after stopping the game while waiting for matching to complete in online mode.

On Steam (DirectX 9):
--Fixed issue whereby, when playing online, it may appear that the player is sliding forward because the walking motion animation is not being displayed properly.

We'll update everyone as soon as we know the exact date and time that the version and calibrations changes will occur. Thank you for your feedback and patience!

I just wanna point this out, since it only says it's a DX9 fix. This occasionally happens on DX11 too if people walk very slowly with, say, a controller (since sticks allow you to walk slower than a keyboard).

No DX11 fix for that?

Any word from up the pipe about the Lightning Damage Buff (i.e. nerf)? FromSoft kinda killed an entire branch of gameplay since the Sunken King DLC on the dx9 version, and a lot of players are curious about this.

Looking good!

Can't wait for the durability fixes as right now playing with weapons that have low'ish durability is very painful as it only takes few missed swings into some corpses or allied phantoms and your weapon poops out on you.

So here's to hoping the patch is out soon! :cupcakeelf:

Drangleic Castle acid areas, Aldia's Keep acid pit, the Lower Gutter's acid vases, and the Shaded Ruins acid puddles.

Stop trying to kill the immortal, invincible crows in Things Betwixt.

Just attack a dead basilisk, it takes off 4 (and randomly 8) every time.

Aside: When are the Blue Sentinels going to be implemented?

And what would you suggest they do with the covenant that would make it (more) relevant?

nobody else thinks its pretty damn sad that were only getting this durability patch now that the console versions can run at 60 fps. This bug existed for over a year and we didnt hear a peep from the devs. Id say they can shove it up their you know what if i wasnt in love with the souls games. Maybe you guys (from software) should start paying the pc community a little more attention.

On the subject of bugs When my game trys to save a message pops up saying " An error occured while saving. attempting to save again. press cancel to return to title menu" anyone know how to get this to stop happening? when i try to go back in again it says i quit the game improperly when i never did it in the first place to make this even happen.

I am more excited about the guard break/jump attack hopefully being fixed. I can deal with the durability.
