I highly doubt that we will add this option in future updates, I'm afraid.
You could mod your crosshair yourself (ask or search in the mod section, someone might have done it already).
thx for the reply very kind of you as a dev paying atention to the foruns
Here is a mod I made that I've been using for a long while now, you may like it. :)

thx mate saved my games form now on
- crosshair.png (The crosshair itself that displays spread. Always visible.)
- crosshair_good.png (The green dot that's displayed when you have a clear shot to your target.)
- crosshair_poor.png (The red dot that's displayed when you have a poor line-of-sight to your target.)
These files are found in the following directory:
Steam\SteamApps\common\RunningWithRifles\media\packages\vanilla\textures
For the image editing you can also use Microsoft Picture Manager or Paint but that's not the point.
Actually, modifying the crosshair.png is not what you've asked as it is for the static crosshair, which isn't important. To do so you must modify/change the dynamic_crosshair.png. The other mentioned files as well as their colors are fine imo, so you may not need to modify them.
But....... that's not all, I bet you'd want to change some other things like color of the bullet trails and line of sight. The needed files are: bullet_trail.png and los.png(Line of Sight).
EDIT
Changed some things and it's quite better now. In case you want to try what I've done, here's it:

So, my questions is, how do you change it? I haven't found a .png that is a semi-translucent square or anything like that, and I'm not good enough to understand the .xml files.
I've seen it done in the Infantry Mod, where it is red and it is easy to see that you're not aiming anywhere near where your bullet will hit.
Here's what I'm talking about: https://gyazo.com/2ac939798c0c04d7c145e026accf15e7
