Rank Persist Through Servers?

Does your rank stay the same on every server or do you hav eto earn it again every time

The ranks and progression are NOT shared throughout the servers. We are working on profile share for a trusted server realm as we speak.

RP got reset. Wtf?

I was playing on SAS Invasion last night, left, then came back an hour later to see that my RP was reset. My rank is still the same though. Glitch with the new update or something?

XP/RP reset for release?

Yes, for the next release (not yet the final release which is a week later) we will make a profile reset so that everyone start into the post-release with the same rank.
The profiles will be kept as backup though, so that we can eventually make a database for people interested into looking how much XP and gametime they had.
We asked some veterans who played up to 2000 hours on invasion and they were ok for a profile wipe on release.

Earlier into development, we resetted the profiles every month but that was too much. I think the next reset will be the last one though.

Makes sense that everyone starts out at the same level on release.

Also this is an EA game, we accepted that there could be major changes up to and including a wipe so i don't see it as a bigge.

On an unrelated not Jack, love the new store picture and am happy to see that all your hard work is about to pay off.

On release i plan on pimping this game to as many people as I can and will continue to do so as a thank you for giving us this amazing game.

Dear Jack,

While it does make sense that everyone starts at the same level on release, I believe alot of us are concerned about the reset. All the time and effort they spend on the server vanish and that will drive people away to other games. This is my feedback and I hope the dev could look into other alternative.

As Pasi stated on the official forum, everything above 10k XP is only about cosmetics and 10k XP really isn't that much to catch up.
I am pretty sure there are people who would want to avoid the profile reset but honestly you are the first one I know of which really is against it (ok just saw the other thread you made, you are not alone but still pretty sure it's the minority anyway).

To be frank, the news is quite shocking to me. I love the game, it is one of the game that I spent hours upon at, thus the reaction.

This is my estimation based on my experience, 10k XP will require 10 days at minimum if average players spend 1-2 hours daily to grind. Quite some time to spend in my opinion.

Beyond 10k, some could say it can be bragging rights and also able to take over ownership over vehicles from lower xp players. This could be an issue to look into.

I didn't make the other thread, just voicing my opinion with my fellow brethren. :)

IMO i dont see how anyone entering a early access game that has some sort of experience system could be shocked to find out there will be a reset near release time.

in my experience the only time i seen a game not reset upon release are F2P cash shop games that had active cash shop during beta.

Hmm actually a good idea, we could reset the profiles and those who pay 5 bucks would have their old profiles back :D

Rank progression

Yesterday before joining a server, i typed in a name and a password, but today when i joined it again (with the same name and password), i was a private again, wasn't the progress supposed to be saved ?
