Sadly we have not had time to work on that yet, as it's a deeply rooted in the engine it’s a pretty large task and we have only recently finished of another large task in form of the controller support, and are right now doing some small bug fixes along with additional final touches on the controller.

This bug is however very high priority for me, so I hope to begin working on it pretty soon, but it might still be a week or so off before I can start working on it full time. I can’t make any promises on when it will be done, I can only say that I don’t think it’s that far off, though it will take some time. I hope to at least have it out before the end of the month, hopefully earlier, but as of now I can’t make promises on this.

I want to be honest and work with as much transparency as possible on this, so if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Sorry for taking so long! As we are a small team we can’t work on that many things at the same time, which is especially true for purely programming oriented stuff like this.

Okay no problem. I appreciate the transparency. I was just looking for some sort of update on the process. thanks :)

same here... my character in the beginning is just a bunch of jumbled blue lights

I just tried Cloudbuilt again since a couple of patches ago, and my Intel character model issues are all gone :) I don't know which of the last two/three patches fixed it, though. I mention it here since I don't see this fix in any of the notes.

I'm having fun, but struggling to get over the initial learning curve. The placeable checkpoint helps, but there is only so much you can do without making it too easy ^_^ I would prefer fewer enemies, but that will probably change as I improve.

That's great to hear! : )

Though, there is still some cards that have one major problem left with the animation system, making the character appear very strange. Hope to fix that soon though, as I'm pretty sure how to solve it in a good way. I just need to find the time to implement it.

yeah my character model issues haven't resolved yet. am i supposed to be downloading patches though or is that just included in the updates before i start up the game...?

any updates?

Sorry for the delay!

I'm pretty sure that once I get time to work on this change we need to do to fix this, it should go pretty quick, in matter of a day or two, but so far I've been pretty busy, only got time to work on some bugs here and there, and some smaller but urgent stuff.

This Friday we have an internal deadline for some of the stuff that kept me the most busy lately, so hopefully I will be able to address this early next week, but I can't promise it quite yet.

We fell little behind on this mentioned deadline as we were not quite happy withe quality and wanted to give it a little more time that it needed, but once it's done I will give priority to this bug. Sorry for the delay!

I really appreciate how transparent you are, man. As an amateur programmer I know that things tend to get exponentially complicated if something goes wrong. I look forward to playing the game, but for now I just have the same issue on my Intel graphics card-- a web of torn blue triangles instead of a character model.
NS_advent Jun 28, 2014 @ 9:11pm
I'm glad to know I'm not alone in getting the web of blue triangles error. However, I was able to somehow make it through the tutorial level, and the game controls wonderfully, even on my low-specced laptop. Even though I'm one of the gamers that will sacrifice textures for framerate, I was happy to find that even low-res textures look nice. Your team is making a great game, Gafgar, and I look forward to the patches that will let me admire it fully.

update?
Gafgar  [developer] Aug 3, 2014 @ 11:06pm
The problem is solved, though only in a beta branch so far, and not applied throughout all materials, so some models in that beta branch is still bugged (really only the blue outlined material for the main character were missed in the beta).

I have since applied the fix everywhere and it has hopefully been tested enough to make sure it's stable, so we hope to get up a final patch for solving the issue little later today in the main branch.

I tried to reply on all threads concerning this issue when the beta build went live, but I sadly seem to have missed this one. Sorry about that!

Uh, I'm a little confused as to whether or not the fix you applied has been activated in the beta branch, but for one reason or another I'm still getting torn blue spirit-figures and pitch-black jetpack fires. Not sure if that's supposed to have changed or not, but, just in case an update was put through that I didn't notice, nothing changed for me.
Gafgar  [developer] Aug 4, 2014 @ 3:11am
The fix has not gone live yet, and so far we have not looked into the black jet flames as they are not game breaking. I hope to fix it later though, but not right now.

I will keep the other thread updated to any patches or changes. (should be a patch soon)
