3079 is the first commercial game of the series. Its success kicked off more games that sought to evolve visuals & gameplay, although many still enjoy the original.

Why is this on Steam? For the same reason any other game is on Steam: to make it available for people to buy & play. You do not need to buy & play it if you don't want to, but just remember others are free to do so. That is how an open market works. I appreciate those that try it out!
