One of the best zombie survival games

It's as if early access rust and early access dayz had a force inseminated incest fetus.

I loved this game. I started playing on PS4 back in 2015. For years I wished I could get the new updates on PC and when I got a PC, I couldn't wait for Alpha 21 with all of it's new features. But now this game has become unplayable for me. I used to love building bases in the middle of nowhere and preparing myself for long trips to different cities with roaming hoards as a threat.

Now you have to build near a city and force yourself to loot building after building just to progress through the game. It doesn't even make sense. Why would I force myself to roam empty cities that clearly have zombies hiding in buildings? The sunlight doesn't even hurt them. The leveling progression is just SICK! JUST WHY!? If you wanted to force us through these buildings, the magazine system wasn't the way. You could've put important crafting materials in the POIs and we would have torn this apart... It just sucks to see something I loved, turn into something I don't even want to bother with. I can't even get faster by running anymore and the stamina perks associated got removed. I miss 'Run, Forest Run'. *cries*

Just look at the amount of hours I've poured into this and it should tell you all you need to know: that I clearly need help and have no life lol

I've averaged nearly two-hundred hours per year since 2016 which is more than most people manage to put into a single game ever, much less every year.

This game is fantastic, and even though I have absolutely not agreed with every decision made by the devs, the game is still so overwhelmingly net-positive for me that it can barely be measured. If you have any reservations at all about buying this, then just commit. This will be more than worth the price even after it jumps for 1.0 so for the current price, it's highway robbery. With the eventual addition of an actual story, the one main issue I've ever had with this game will be resolved - the lack of an end game. Like many (all?) crafting survival games, you eventually hit a point where you're just waiting for the next hoard night and that's when it's time to shelve it until the next expansion or restart - but by no means does this make it worth skipping. I would give up either of my nuts to be able to experience this game for the first time again. Don't deprive yourself of an experience you won't forget.

A survival game that wanted to turn into a looter shooter. The game is alright but honestly the magazine system where most crafting recipes are behind a wall of grind and rng to find the magazines your need to be able to craft new stuff is annoying. By the time you are able to craft stuff you might have already gotten better loot from running around doing missions for the trader. Also new price is not worth it 44.99$ for this? nah bro its early access price is more than enough or wait on sale after it releases.

Insane game you can build you can play with friends you can play alone you can kill everything you can paint everything you can die you can survive horde you can speedrun you can play long and relax you can do PVE you can do PvP !you can buy it!

magazine farming and water farming simulator. also is the only game to randomly turn my whole pc off for no reason, i even ran prime 95 and like 3 other stress tests on all my other components in my pc (yes power supply too) over night so not a hardware problem especially since none of my other way more demanding games have this issue. game used to work fine when i first built my pc a little over a year ago and after some update this started happening.
