[Network error] Could not connect to the EasyAntiCheat network
So when I play during the day New Zealand time EAC download works fine. In NZ evenings I get the message in the title of this thread "Could not connect to the EasyAntiCheat network."
It is not a firewall thing, have tried with that disabled as well as the firewall states both 7DTD and EAC are allowed. It is not my internet connection, it is fine when I am having these issues.
This works like clock work though, during my daytime no problems whatsoever, my evenings are pretty much a no go. The game is fine if I load up without EAC enabled, but then I can not join the server I want to.
Is there any info on this? Any suggestions?

Could be routing issues, could be a limited server schedule, could be a limited number of clients connecting at the same time. Hard to say unless one of the EAC guys chimes in.

Thanks that is what I was thinking too but I am no expert that is for sure. I just have not seen too many of these threads were there is no real error and is simply a connection issue.

Sorry for piggy backing on your post, but im having the same issue aswell.
When i start the game the little splash screen with the update progress pops up, it downloads update anything from 12 - 20% and then says "changing server" only to download the same amount and changing server again.

It does this a few times and then i get the red error message saying "[NetworkError] Could not connect to the EasyAntiCheat network!"

i haven't been able to play because of this for the last week.

Try with your firewall disabled, and AV software off temporarily. It is a good simple test for determining if either might be at fault.

It is fine to piggy back on the same post, I think it is more helpful for anyone working on these issues. Are you able to try to connect at different times of the day or night? Would be interesting to see if it made a difference like it does for me.

We've noticed that some ISPs are doing network traffic shaping and blocking EAC downloads during daytime. Due to this we decided to switch to HTTP CDN and soon we will update it to everyone.

As its still under testing, could you try if it fixes the issue for you? To test, download and replace your existing EasyAntiCheat .DLL files in Steam\SteamApps\Common\7 Days to Die\EasyAntiCheat\ with these files: http://sandra.easyanticheat.net/test/ and then start the game from Steam again.
