TIRED!!
So I know game is in Alpha but is it just me or does any one else tired of zeds spawning rght next to every time you stop and look at something? I rarly even play the game any more because of this even in safe zones either theres none no where or they just keep spawning next to you so old, So now I only play 10 min of new updates and same ol same ol so just wait for next updates. Hope this gets fixed because I love the game and concept just that random spawning next to me crap is gonna cause me to get rid of this game.

I just dislike the hordes homing in on you even when you dont have them set to feral. (Multiplayer)

As much as its blasphemy to say it I sort of miss the old GPS zombies, the spawning system was far better and while you couldn't hide at all at least you didn't have the horde spawning right on top of you.

now i love the roming hordes but yeah so do i Bonkerz, I actually played alpha 1 again the other day find myself playing that more then the newer versions lol

Zombie pathing is far from complete at this stage of the game. Expect it to change, and change again, and again after that before we get to a final version. GPS hoards was brutal not better though. You could not make base because it was constantly under assault. Hoards are great, but I too would rather they did not spawn so close every night and day. At least we can hide from a hoard and wait for it to pass by now though.

yes hordes are fine like i say its when they just "POOF" 7 zeds surrounding you lol

My only problem with hordes, or zed spawns at my house is their auto-detect and rush ability.

They can kill me a dozen time if they like, but i just hate when they start to chop my walls :p

What i don't appreciate : i digged up this rocky platform for several hours game time, making surely a lot of noise. There were zombies around that let me do. Occasionally, one would approach slowly and get red (but i digged up a least for 2 hours with those green dots around).

On the other hand, when i'm in my house prowling and making no noise, they spawn 50m away and directly go chopping my walls.

This is really annoying :p

To be honest...I have no problems with zombies spawning in my base, right next to me or hordes making a B-Line right for me or my base. They will spawn around my base within sight but not right next to me.

Luck?

More annoying is that they keep moving my old car.
3 days ago, the mattress was laying on the car !
We need safe parkings with gate and cameras.

Moreover, that speed limit is absurd : i need to go faster when a horde is on my heels, or wheels, or whatever !

The only time I ever have zombies spawning right next to me is when I enter a POI while running. If I stop at the edge and walk slowly in then they all pop up ahead of me. If I am running and just go straight in then when they spawn I am in the middle of them. Is this what you are talking about or does it happen out in the wilderness too? For me, they always spawn a ways away out in the wilderness.

POI = point of interest ? or... ?

yes, keep your bases away from them as POI seem to spawn zombies a lot so if you close, you may get spawning problems. The only time I goto town or POI is to scavenge for supplies or maybe to stay for the first couple nights I will stay in a house.

Zeds have not gona after myt base without me alerting them to my prescence from within it since 8.4. I get a regular stream of hoards walking by though. However if they do not know I m there they walk past. I set up on the roof of a 3 story building on one corner of an intersection in the plains. Zeds spawn in on the roof adjacent to me, but not on my roof. I had more than one hoard walk into the side of the building, then split up around either side, Continuing on without attacking the wall that was in thier way. I was a little dismayed when they saw me from a boarded up window. Fully boarded even with scrap iron. Just going to smash windoews from now on and fill em in. Was a 2nd floor window too.

I've been seeing this a lot but with recent updates I'm not having this problem anymore. I may get a handful of zeds (mainly Spiders) that will spawn in the area of my base if I'm there working. They don't spawn on top of my structures like they used to.

The smartest thing I've done in this game is build my base on pillars. Most night hordes will run directly under me and continue on their way. But if there is an obstruction (I.E your base) in their path, they will attack the obstruction until the path allows them to pass. Sometimes, zeds will find their way around a wall unimpaired and continue on. Or, a horde will take out a wall of a nearby building trying to continue on.

Hordes spawn pretty close but not close enough that they can't be dealt with (hiding/drawing them away/killing them) What is annoying is hordes spawning and passing through every 4 game hours during the day.

My advice is to build your base off the ground.

Pillars are not the best idea, as you have less base to your structor. So with the issue you describe (that I am most certainley not experiencing since 8.4) of Zeds having to bash thier way through an impassible object. Your pillar could be said object, and loosing one or 2 of those could be the end of your structor. To those with the problem of Zeds that level your base as desribed above. Dig a 3 block wide hole to bed rock around you base. Problem solved. I will leave it to your ingenuity to decide how you want to get in and out of such a base.
