Why the hate for Big Band?

Is it because he's the only guy on the roster?
Or is it because you run into me on ranked, thinking that cheap combo we've all seen isn't going to fall pray to the almighty parry?

The guy has crisp gameplay with a balanced weakness, the best VA in the game (save for Lev), and one of the only assists that help with keepaway spam.
I really see no reason for the generally negative opinion the community has of him.

I've been browsing the discussions and people seem to dislike the character for some reason. I'm curious to know what that reason is.

Never played the game in multiplayer nor I am really that active in the community in general so here are some random reasons:

1. People hate bands much less a big one.
2. Sounds like Big Bang and isn't as cool as it.
3. Sounds like Big Bang and people don't like it.
4. Because.
5. One person started the 'hate' and then sheep followed.
6. Because it annoys people.
7. Extension of the hate of non-single names.

Don't know what you're talking about, he's a nice character, a second grappler with cool moves. I think he's pretty cool even if I get pretty much always beaten up by him.

Eh, maybe it was me imagining things. People do seem to dislike getting rekt by him especially, for some reason.

^ yeah. basically. His damage is good and he has armor...which is difficult for new players and people who refuse to do research alike.

Luckily enough most things he has are slow or super punishable.

The only thing of him that kinda annoys me is when people play random notes with his super. Take some time to learn a catchy tune at least :p

I know one reason people dislike/like big band is because big band has a giant attack box. Like Cerebrella, your moves cover a large space of the stage and you can easily crush noob opponents. It basically comes down to a point, you don't know how to block. Because you don't know how to block the mix-ups, Cerebella and Big Band can easily wreck bad players because they can't dodge easily like you can with characters with more precise attacks.

It's a theory anyways, I could easily be completely wrong.

I kinda like fighting him and his dumb tubas. Gliding over his giant step and clapping him right in his robot face.
