I bought this game nearly a decade ago. I was a new fan of Roguelikes then, and now I would consider myself a veteran of the genre. And it's my favorite at that.

However, a decade ago. I hated this game. I only put a couple of hours in, and genuinely couldn't stand the thought of it. Ten years later, on a second look, my opinion hasn't changed, I truly think this might be the worst game I have ever played.

Everything about this title frustrates me to oblivion. The trait system is terrible. Oh this run you're going to play upside down, or in black and white, ect. I feel like the game leaned more into the design than actual gameplay. Every run feels the exact same, go in, grind for gold, and die to something hitting you through a wall.

It's clunky, very frustrating, unbalanced, and one of the most un-fun experiences I've ever had with gaming. If you like it, more power to you, but this is not for me in the slightest.

Rogue legacy is good. However, be open minded about the rogue-like/rogue-lite formula.
This game (other than blatant trolling) doesn't change up the formula very much. However, what it adds is entertaining and quite amusing (random maps, characters, with random useless attributes).
