Graphical glitches

I get strange graphical glitches while playing war thunder literally all the time. It never used to happen until a few updtaes ago.

While playing, parts of my plane seem to get "smeared." I don't know how else to describe it. For example, sometimes one of the propellar blades will be twice the length it should be. It happens literally every game.

This would be almost tolerable but sometimes it will happen to a mountain for example, and the "smear" will cover half the screen.

I've tried everything from different drivers to every setting I can think of in CCC but nothing helps. Setting vertical sync to on helps a little, but not really.

This is also happening to me in Total War: Rome 2 now. No other games have this issue.

Please help someone its driving me crazy.

i started having issues and finally admitted to myself my gpu sucks. used old gpu setting mode and now get 70s fps

Im not sure what you mean by old gpu setiting mode, but frame rate is not the problem its just graphical glitches.

Only recently I've had framerate issues, could be recent patch as it only happen in certain maps. Most bugs Ive run into are more graphical/gameplay type, like the aimer being stuck far off in left the corner for bombing or torping even tho the torps and bombs fall normal. its rare though

doesn't sound like the software. You need new equipment, likely a video card.

when u launch WT go to custom the graphics settings, on the right side at the bottom of the list is Old video card support. For me, selecting that made my gameplay wayyyyy better. I was getting graphic issues along with fps. Just a thought, maybe u could see if that fixes ur problems.

Thanks for the suggestions but I forgot to mention I have an hd5970. It's definitely not a hardware issue because it only happens in war thunder. I thought it might be a driver issue but switching to older drivers didnt help. It also doesn't help that amd hasn't released new drivers since april.

I have a graphical bug were the ground has some lines on it...I updated my drivers and it's still happening ! :(

Could you provide a screenshot? Steam has this nifty feature where you press F12 and it creates a screenshot for you that you can upload to your profile and share with us.

In my case it turns out my graphics card was failing. The problems started with this game but I eventually had this same problem with all g

I have what sounds like exactly the same problem, the plane "smears". I'm going to try that graphics change but I didn't know where to change it until now.
I also have some other issues, but I have a feeling that they may all be connected to the same problem: trees sometimes won't spawn until, well usually until I crash into them. Also sometimes I will move the mouse but the motion lags, which has led to some VERY irritating conclusions in a dogfight, usually me crashing!
BTW I'm using a 15" Macbook Pro with Crossover (I've checked, its not crossover's fault) 2.3GHz i7 processor
