So, did they ever add any of those new maps?
You know like the one's promised way back? Or how about those vehicles they promised? I'm actually curious about this and totally serious.

No and no.

It took them a year to release a test version of an updated version of their current map. And from what we've seen with vehicles, they'll be a fair way off as well.

Expect them by the year 7604593

they are working on colorado v2 and that is sort of out being tested by public

and they are working on california and there has been number of screenshot and video, but that still has ways to go. next year i guess...

here check out the dev diaries

http://forums.infestationmmo.com/index.php?/forum/8-developer-diaries/

also it takes a long time for a small company to make a map from scratch

they have a proprietary engine so its not like they can go on open market and license much

so you see them going out and taking pictures of grass!

would have been best if they used something like udk or unity and leveraged on all the studios creating assets for those engine to use in indie games

if you get a chance check out unity asset store and you will see what i mean everything that is like needed to create a game very affordably priced

if they had gone that route they would have been a lot further much sooner and would have spent lot less money since its dirt cheap to get non-exclusive license

here check it out

Not even The Doctor could travel forward enough to see those new map releases.

They'll be here in about 15 years: VALVe time. In other words, expect them by the year 7604593.

Valve Time only applies if the product has the number 3 attached to it.

His post is actually at best neutral.

If you read it properly it says they would have been best off using an off the shelf engine and not wasting their time building it from scratch and therefore the speed of which they develop.

If they actually had any intention to develop even with an OTS engine.

Maybe they are codeveloping the map with the HL 2 ep 3 team?

They've never promised vehicles, people just simply seen an artwork on the website of a person driving a car into a horde of geeks. Cant say they promised somthing just becuase you seen a picture, get over it.

If you saw the original roadmap back in the alpha days you would know that vehicles were indeed promised.
