It took them a year to release a test version of an updated version of their current map. And from what we've seen with vehicles, they'll be a fair way off as well.
and they are working on california and there has been number of screenshot and video, but that still has ways to go. next year i guess...
here check out the dev diaries

also it takes a long time for a small company to make a map from scratch
they have a proprietary engine so its not like they can go on open market and license much
so you see them going out and taking pictures of grass!
would have been best if they used something like udk or unity and leveraged on all the studios creating assets for those engine to use in indie games
if you get a chance check out unity asset store and you will see what i mean everything that is like needed to create a game very affordably priced
if they had gone that route they would have been a lot further much sooner and would have spent lot less money since its dirt cheap to get non-exclusive license
here check it out

Not even The Doctor could travel forward enough to see those new map releases.
They must be paying you really well to talk good about the game.
seriously.. I don't know how many bets I've won.
Isn't 15 Valve years like 564985995498569564?
Valve Time only applies if the product has the number 3 attached to it.
His post is actually at best neutral.
If you read it properly it says they would have been best off using an off the shelf engine and not wasting their time building it from scratch and therefore the speed of which they develop.
If they actually had any intention to develop even with an OTS engine.
Maybe they are codeveloping the map with the HL 2 ep 3 team?
the engine they use its the same as the one of the other crappy game they made, warsomething, even the textures and props are the very same
If you saw the original roadmap back in the alpha days you would know that vehicles were indeed promised.
