Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

Fallout 3 won't start with Steam, please help... have had the problem for a year, and Steam support never answers me.
Like I said Steam support never answers me when I ask for help, I can't rely on them anymore. For one year I have had FO3, for one year FO3 has not worked for me. I have checked, and my specs are well above the requirments for FO3. Before you post a solution, listen to this, I have tried just about every solution out there, the busethreadedai thingy, updating ALL my drivers, every solution. Here's what happens. I install FO3, I click play in my games library. After that it loads and the FO3 out of game menu opens up, all I have left to do is hit play and BOOM I'm in the game. Well not so fast! As soon as I hit play, the game closes, nothing else happens. Someone please help me find a solution, I've waited long enough for Steam to help me, and now it's time to turn to the people for help.

Do you have Intel integrated graphics? Have you red all other posts in this forum made by people that had exactly the same problem?

The game crashes with the steam overlay window. You can set Steam in offline mode whenever you want to play, or go into properties and uncheck "Enable Steam Communtity in game". Hope it helps.

Also, on a sidenote, have you also made the line iNumWthreads=1( or 2)???? I do not know, if that is the exact thing it is called, but it is needed. Hope it helps.
