How do you play (1st or 3rd)

Just wondering how you guys are playing... seems like there is an advantage playing 3rd person.

Depends on what class your playing or what weapon you're using.

A knight with a tower sheild may have more benefit in 3rd person where he can actually see.
A Vanguard with a claymore may have more benefit in 3rd person where he can see where his arc swings go and what's around.

An archer plays better in first person with precision aiming.
Fisticuffs play better in first person.
Blocking all around is also easier in first person.

What it really comes down to is preference really.

Same as warband i'm guessing, 3rd is pretty much always advantaged unless throwing weapons or arching. Very unfortunate really, for those of us who don't like third person. But with games it's either force all first, or have both were you have to choose 3rd anyway so it's a lose-lose situation.

I can't play this game in first person, feels like I am a horse with blinders on, I also have lots of warband experience so third person just comes naturally, and it keeps me topping the scoreboards.

More situational awareness in third person, I don't damage my own team as much now.

1st person, I find it harder to parry in third person plus the game seems made for 1st person.

1st person, I enjoy it significantly more that way and that's what's most important to me. Also, blocking is easier in 1st IMO.

Yeah, first person is really what I love about this game. It really puts in INTO the combat, just makes it far more enjoyable for me. I love the first person kill cams too. Arrow in the neck one is awesome.

I can see using 3rd person if I only did LMB combos, but I use thrust and overhead and aiming is pretty important to use those skills so I play first person.

I would not touch this game with a long stick if it had only 1st person. So Yeah 3rd all the way.
I simple get nothing from such games if I cant see the model itself. Here its a pretty nice one regardless of the wired emotionless faces.

Funny, I wouldnt touch this game if it was 3rd person only.

I play 3rd person, but that's mainly because I love using shields and short swords. Especially the tower shield, which makes you blind in 1st person. Since I'm so up close with my shield, I often have to block attacks coming from both sides, so I really need that situational awareness.
