I just had a 101.5 MB download. It may be Steam related since I had downloads on other old games several days ago, that were probably Steam related.

That's just speculation on my part. Take that with truckloads of salt. Though yeah, earlier this year (or was it in 2016?) Valve did release a security fix for all source game including Half-Life 2.

I remember that, and Portal 2 also received an update for me tonight (could have been pushed any time in the last 2 days as far as I know though, have been gone for about that long), but this is GalCiv1? :P Shouldn't be affected by Valve's updates to their games, am confused why L4D is relevant.

That said, if all of that was what you meant by your speculation, sorry. (Will be keeping an ear out!)
