Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Collection

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Collection

Statistiche:
16:9 aspect ratio only?
Just booted up the game and had a quick race and the game looks and plays great but my only issue is that at my native screen resolution of 1680 1050 the game is in a 16:9 aspect ratio and has two big old black borders top and bottom. Anyone know why this might be? If its a problem with the game I hope they can patch it as it kinda ruins the look of such a beautifull game.

I hope this is patched as well
If I remember correctly Sonic Generations is 16:9 too. (well, there is 4:3 mode but it's still shows black borders) So I'm not sure this will be patched.

Just booted up Generations to make sure I wasnt going crazy and it is fullscreen 16:10.
Generations was fullscreen. I beat it.

This game isnt. T_T
Get a program called "Game Companion".

Start it.

Set the game to Windowed Mode + your preferable resolution in 16:9 mode (1920x1200 [16:10] -> 1920x1080 [16:9])

Start the game, press CTRL+ENTER and voilá, no black bars anymore.

Does this just streach the image or force the game to render at the desired resolution?
Any updates on this?
its letterbox on 4:3 screens unfortunately
I have black borders too and i vote for a real 16:10 resolution in the next update.

Its a pity this wasnt addressed in the devs to do list in that pinned post. Good to see they are not just gonna address some issues with the game but this could really do with looking at.

When I bought the game I had no idea I had to have widescreen monitor. I like square as a shape, is that too hard to accept? Whats next, movies only in 3d? No hamburgers, only cheeseburgers? Come on.
Wish I had found this thread sooner. I had this issue with the game and tried to contact Sega's customer support for some help. Instead of just saying "we don't support 16:10" they had me try all manner of different resolutions and send them DxDiag files from my computer. Grr!
what a horrible excuse. as a part time programmer adding different ui sizes for different ratio`s is a simple task. stinks of console port. which it was by the way.
use windowed mode in 720p and then resize it to fill the screen, works but UI stretchs as well.
I also tested 2880x900 (two 1440x900 screens) resolution with this way, and it works, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥:

When you've got a solution that can dynamically rescale an entire UI and HUD without stretching it out of a given aspect ratio, please do give us a call :)

I know it's easy to go 'Console Port' (which indeed we are!) whilst also overlooking...

Reworking the online play with a completely different API (Steamworks).
Full Steam 'Big Picture' support.
3 additional playable racers (some with multiple character models).
Controller support for both Xinput and Dinput devices.
Full Windows 7 and above Touch UI and In-game touch controls.
Full Windows 8 and above Tilt controls.
PC specific additional graphics, effects and set pieces.
Higher resolution textures.

...and that's before we look at the additional features we've added in (better voice chat options for one, VAC support too) as a result of forum feedback, or the three weeks we've spent putting in support for many older GPU's that don't support INTZ.

So I don't really feel we've been slacking off too much :P
