I'm only at chapter 2 but I think I can answer most of your questions (given you still need it 48h later).
-You can't run and slash if that's what you mean. You can freely move during combats but you kind of stop when you hit someone.
-I'm not 100% sure but if I recall I was able to do that when a second foe was coming at me, so don't quote me on that but I think you can switch targets for the actions to come without breaking the queue.
-You can use the keys if you prefer to, yes.
-I was able to change from qwerty to azerty in the options and had to rebind a key or two so no, you can bind the keys to your liking.
-You can switch targets with q and e or simply left click on a foe.
-There are a few AoE attacks so yes, positioning is important in my opinion. Ranged weapons also have a limited range.
