[Solved][Linux] Can't download game: missing executable
Hi, First, thanks Feral guys for tomb raider linux port, its an amazing game!
Second, sorry my bad english.
I cant download game to my library, and receive error "Failed to Start Game (Missing Executable)"

I tried follow instructions on steam support, deleted "appcache" folder inside steam installation folder, but not work.

Using here ubuntu 14.04. Any ideas?
thanks in advance!

Same here. Reading around (Feral's Twitter, GamingOnLinux's Forum, etc.) it seems it'a problem wich affects many players, even if many others are playing right now.

Same problem here.

Same issue. When I click on the "Agree with EULA" button a "Files allocated. Started downloading..." dialog box appear and right after that Steam tells me that the game has been downloaded (downloaded 0/0 bytes). Well, no wonder there's no executable. Running Debian 8 64 bit.

I have the same issue. I have the game through owning the Tomb Raider Collection: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/49800/?snr=1_5_9__403

I logged in with a second account which just owns the Tomb Raider game and the download started.

This could be an entirely random coincidence, or it could be that the Linux version is not correctly attached to all the bundles which include the game.

I have bought Tomb Raider via Tomb Raider Collection too. Since all other games can be downloaded I can do nothing but to agree that this is likely to be some sort of misconfiguration in steam packages system.

Good point! Same bundle here, Tomb Raider Collection, and same error
What should we do?

I've emailed Feral support, I assume it'll be the same fix for everyone.

Well, there seems to be a nearly official answer from the developers already (see end of the "Linux?" topic).

Should be a few days at most hopefully quicker. I'll post once it's resolved just in case you miss your Steam client updating. :-)

This is correct some people who purchased the Windows bundle with multiple games in it have issues with the Linux depots not unlocking. We've contacted Valve and we'll keep you updated once we have resolved the issue. You can also email our support and we can email you once we have conformation if you prefer.

Just got confirmation from the nice guys at Valve and we should have solved all your download issues if you had a package that didn't correctly update.

Just log out of Steam and back in again and you should be downloading. If you still have issues please email linuxsupport@feralinteractive.com and make sure you mention your issue still happens after the Valve package update. :steamhappy:

It's not fixed at my end. Sadly it doesn't even begin to download the game (0/0Bytes - Ready to Play). Same issue or a new one? I'm on archlinux here, so this might be an issue too. I don't got problems downloading Half-Life btw. So seems to be only Tomb Raider as far as I understand. :S

I would restart your client and try the install from scratch. All otters users are not reporting any issues so I would check your client first. If you still have issues then please do contact Feral Interactive support with details of the package you own and we can investigate.
