Shutting off in-game Mic?

Exactly what it says. Can you do this? And if you can, how? I tried this game with my brother for the first time and it suddenly switched from our Steam voice chat to the games and it sounds horrible.

Open: C:\Users\[Your Username]\Documents\My Games\XCOM - Enemy Unknown\XComGame\Config\XComEngine.ini

Search for: VoIP

Change the following to your liking:

[VoIP]
VolumeThreshold=0.2 <--- Range 0.0 to 1.0
bHasVoiceEnabled=true <--- set to false to turn off in game voice chat
