Dead Space PC work with Xbox 360 controllers?

I've seen online that you can buy wireless adaptors for Xbox 360 wireless controllers, and I know that people do use 360 controllers for PC games, but I've been told that some games don't respond or allow this feature?
What's the case with DS 1?
Only reason I'm asking is because I'm stuck on the cannon bit like half way through chaptor 4 or 5, my mouse isn't responsive enough to blast the astroids in time and I can't get past that part.

i play it with the 360 controller and runs very well... also DS 2... if you want DS 3 add me and ill tell you how to get it... btw i use a wireless adapter...

I use a wire adapter with my 360 controller and have no problems at all as well.

The 360 controller is pretty much the best supported controller in PC gaming. Can't go wrong with that.

I'm having problems with it though. I have the wired 360 controller for windows, brand new, but when I play dead space 1 the game won't recognize slight movement or aim with either of the joysticks. This is the only game where I have the problem though, I have deadspace 3 and it works perfectly. (this problem makes it so I can't slowly or precisly aim or move with deadspace 1)
