Mouse Acceleration
I have disabled the game's vsync, forced vsync and triple buffering through NVIDIA Control Panel. This makes the game playable.

I know the game has mouse acceleration; in aim mode, you see it when you move your mouse very slowly, but your view on sceen doesn't shift. Some people compensate by turning the mouse sensitivity up higher, but I hate that crap, coming from the online FPS scene.

Is there ANY way to turn off mouse acceleration in this game?

Do the other two games have it and force it as well?

I turned it down and switched to a gamepad...lol

This game jsut doesn't work well with k/m unfortunately. I''m used to playing it with a controller anyways since I got it on PS3 before.

I hate those controllers with a passion. Haven't used one since the old Nintendo 64.

From what I've read, there is no way to turn the mouse acceleration off in this game. I'm not talking about mouse lag (you get rid of that by not using the game's vsync mechanic). I'm talking about acceleration. You experience while in aim mode.

But I've read you can't get rid of it.

I'm having the same problems with my mouse as the OP is.

I figured this was set for a console too, the minute the intro chat started. I could tell just by looking at my AI and then again, the very first time I moved. I'm tired of console games being sold to me as PC games. Using a K/M really sucks for me in this game and using a controller on a console sucks for me too. I have a PS2 & XBox and all they do is, collect dust.

I've already read the manual and even though it goes on about K/M, it just seems to be more of a console game with a game pad controller than, a K/M game.

go into the ini file for the game and set it to something higher then the current max, i think i did mine 1.5x higher then the max setting and it was great, if you wanna cheese the game set it to like 5x the highest setting.

You've misunderstood. I do not want more mouse acceleration. I want to turn it off. It interferes with accurate aiming.

Disabling V-sync made the game playable, thanks @Deathlok for the tip.

I understand what u mean. It's like "mouse acceleration" in windows cursor right? Well there's no fix for it sadly. I have to use gamepad for this..

If you're comfortable modding the game there's supposedly a fix, I just installed it so I haven't seen yet if it actually works, but in the readme they seemed to talk about what causes the issues with aiming and it made sense.
Idk if I can get in trouble for posting the link to an unsanctioned mod, so just look up "Dead Space Mouse Fix v.1.0"
