I mean, looking at the same white pants and red shirt gets a little annoying after awhile, I would've prefered to have a choice on what I'm wearing.
More or less what gender I am. :T
Maybe allies or something would be a feature too.
Just, more charecters and things. They can totally expand on this. Have like 5 runners at once being chased and having to work together to stop the CPF or escape.
1) More levels. 10 is too little. 20 sounds about right.
2) improved combat. I don't mind ME1's combat system, but against guys with lots of health, it REALLY feels clunky... Maybe allow for throws that can be done while running to take out single enemies less clunky?
3) Faith is still the main character. Use Kate as the controlled character in the tutorial. Have Faith get arrested partway into the story and then you play as Kate for a mission or two to break her out.
4) Have some way to know how close the Chaser cops are to catching you. I LOVE running from those guys, but I hate not knowing how far or CLOSE they are to tazing me. >_>
5) Keep the levels as levels and not free roaming....I feel that making it more of a sandbox style game will a) eat up too much time and resources that coudl be used on actual dedicated levels, and b) the game just flows best when it's an obstacle course with a more or less defined route.
6) Alternatively, if it DOES have a sandbox style hub, allow us to time our runs from one location to another in it, for speedrunning purposes.
7) Grabbing runner bags allows you to unlock new gloves/pants/shoes for Faith?
That's all I got for now.
1: Free roam mode, maybe titled "Just run"
2: Make a level (it's just an idea)
3: Having multiple playable runnners like Merc, Celeste, Drake, Jackknife and a few others that you can chose from at the beginning of each level
4: Longer story mode
5: DLC for the game BIG TIME
6: More levels and locations
7: Better combat mode
1. The game should be nothing more than a video of the lead designer apologizing for making Mirror's Edge
2. After the lead designer is done apologizing, your character can punch him in the face repeatedly, racking up points for doing so.
3. There will be an online leaderboard for the person who was able to tediously punch said lead designer in the face the most before getting supremely bored
4. The process would then repeat itself for every other person that was in the credits for this TERRIBLE GAME
If they did that for mirror's edge 2 I would be satisfied.
I, for one, was satisfied with the plot, though a more open world would be nice. Something more like Dishonored than say, Skyrim. NPC's could also be quite interesting.
Co-op and PvP would be fun. Co-op could include things such as relay deliveries, while PvP could include CTF or even a version of tag.
Another thing is the "Runner's Vision" (or whatever the slow-motion was called.) While this can be useful in some parts, I usually just see it as a pointless add-on.
The ability to swap between first and third-person could also be fun/interesting, as would a character customizer and gear (different shoes and gloves give different "boosts.") These would, of course, have to carry over into the cutscenes. There's nothing worse than making a badass character that you never get to see.
The most important thing, however, is to make sure that Mirror's Edge stays unique. I would prefer it that they never release a sequal over them turning ME into one of many games. ME is a wonderful gem of the gaming world, and I should hope it stays that way.
Considering that Mirror's Edge seems to be quite popular with people we would've heard news of its cancelation already. Only news we've heard is that its either in development or its on the backburner.
