The player balance (by that i mean the players who have the weapons they want to use while new players dont have the weapons they want to use) was a big problem but now it isn't to huge anymore thanks to the prices being halved.
The game require dedication to play well, and not everyone will enjoy this sort of game.
It's worth a try, but it may not peak your interest's (Not because its bad, it's only what you like).
You dont get stuff with level ups, you can focus on whatever playstyle you want and you can try out every kind of equipment in training mode before buying it and maybe being disappointed.
but sometimes its really frustrating if you meet people on maximum rank, what should usually be people to admire, are just dumb "automatic weapon noobs" (but mastered playing them)
--> this game was made for explosive weapons and not for such thing
It's definitely worth a look. For the most part it plays like you'd expect a Tribes game to play like.
Instead of your typical light, medium, heavy with customization they now break that down into classes. 3 lights, 3 mediums, 3 heavies. You can still customize but only as far as your class role goes.
One gripe I have with this game is from a lore standpoint. There's only 2 tribes, Blood Eagle and Diamond Sword. I've always been a Phoenix guy.
Also the lack of a 5 person APC.
