blood trails cant jump

playing the second dream sequence......what the hell is going on??? you get to the end of a blood trail and max acts like his feet are glued to the floor and wont jump....but will jump fine in the middle of the blood trail.......anybody else have this problem

same, he makes the jumping animation but stays on ground idk how to get past that level

Same thing happened to me. Absolutely infuriating that I'm almost at the candle platform and that's the ONLY platform I can't jump on. So I just can't play the game. Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I found that enabling -developer mode then using the jump<x> command worked. I used jump20 which launched me miles into the air, but i was able to navigate on the way down to make sure I could land on a skiddlyboop.

Yep. Sorry for the purists, but enabling the jump20 cheat is the only known fix for this. The issue arises from loading a save game in this section. So, either use the cheat, or do the entire dream sequence without dying.

Yea you're going to have to go into the Dev. Mode in order to jump, can't believe R* don't test out ALL levels before releasing it.

I struggled to jump while at the edge but going back a bit seems to get him to jump properly. The trouble is getting further enough away to not get stopped by the glue at the end and close enough to reach the platform. Had to quickload over-and-over but it eventually worked.

This happens when your FPS is too high... Install the FixItAll or limit the FPS otherwise to prevent it.

It is caused by high FPS. Secure it to 60.

I was playing about with the parental restrictions out of curiosity to see how they changed the game and discovered something that can help anyone struggling with the trails: the blood trails are all replaced with a solid snow-covered bar that's straight and much easier to see what the safe area really is.

I'm glad I found this thread.. I couldn't find this glitch being discussed anywhere. I'll try both the jump20, and lowering the fps. I'm determined to beat this damn game.. lol. It's definitely still a gem.

sideways jump over all the gaps. Worked like a charm. The first jump is the hardest but the rest are simple

Hi folks, I have found easier solution.
I have changed acelaration in options menu before game start from hardware to software. Worked perfectly.
Hope I managed to help someone :D

I had settings on high (1920x1080) and I couldn't jump, then I switched to medium settings and I can jump so easily in the red trails dream sequence.
