Linux crash

So up until now all the Steam for Linux games I've played have been incredibly good. It seems like this game broke the rule. Last night I bought it and played twice. First time was fine but the second time, after exiting, I found I couldn't click on anything on my desktop. I just restarted my computer, only to find I'd lost all my desktop settings and icons (weird bug). This is on Kubuntu 13.10, which is pretty standard. Anyone have similar issues? Until then, I guess I'll stick to Windows for this one.

If it affected the Desktop, it can't be a game bug. It may be KDE thing, you may have installed some update, or something like that.

Whoa... upon another reboot, the desktop returned to normal (despite me having already edited it after the first crash). At this point I'm just confused but happy so ok. It's just the weirdest bug I've seen yet. I had installed some updates so maybe those, like you suggested.
