Set doors/chests/lamps up with PIN codes, then enter that PIN on the keypad to Open/Close,Unlock/Lock, TurnOn/TurnOff those items. Say you have your base and an outer wall, and you set all lampposts on the outer wall to 2222, and all lampposts on the inner wall to 1111. You can simply access the keypad (needs electricity to work) and hit ACTIVATE/OPEN, followed by 2222 to turn on every lamp post on your outer wall at the same time. Then DEACTIVATE/CLOSE and 2222 to turn the outer wall lamp posts all back off.

Try reading the patch notes before bellyaching, it's already being addressed:

- Fix for Gas Consumption Rate (30x improvement)

Thanks for describing how the keypad works! Something to works towards.

I am having issues with it. I have a lot of lampposts that were working all fine until today. Now some will turn on while others do not. I have tried resetting the codes, clearing the codes, the only thing left is to replace all of them which I do not want to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Any estimates on what the range is?

You need a pet fish then oil is nothing.

I must say, the keypad is extremely flakey when it domes to doing it's job.

I have 6 lamps, only 4 of them turn on and off using the keypad, the 2 that don't are closer to the keypad than the furthest lamps (which turn on/off fine). I have 2 dino gates in my house (to allow dinos into my storage area to offload harvested materials), the one RIGHT NEXT to the keypad doesn't open, but the one way down the other end of the room does. And when I enter 4 zeros (0000), random windows and trapdoors open/close, but my behemoth gate which is set to 0000 doesn't.

Oil is waste when you collect pearls and crystals. It's literally everywhere in the depth. Cook your dishes and hop on a Megadolon or Sarco and you will swim in oil. You bring back 100+ oil every time you planed on farming silicon pearls as a by-product just because you are not leaving all the dozens of oil stones lying around when crossing them within like 30min (duration of 2 stews, enough time to empty 2 caves and everything on the ground between them).

Indeed, I'm not sure why people are complaining about finding oil... o.o

I got the 10 I needed for a Fabricator easily with two nodes. Then I got my Megladon and boom, 100+ oil everytime I look for pearls like you said.

Also gas consumption rate...? Is this just happening when you interact with the generator? I have yet to set up my generator, but the fabricator seems to work completely fine considering I have 600+ gasoline and have yet to break past even using 3....

I set up a generator, ran wires, lights, a fridge. All working .
Days later I decided to try the remote thing.
So pluggged one in on the grid I have. It is powered .

Set pins on lamps.

Remote managed to control one lamp at one point, nothing for the rest (all lamps I set to same pin)

Then later, I tried again and the keypad doesn't do jack to any of the lights. No control at all.

I've never been able to make the damn thing work.

Single player local mode.

I have no clue why others seem to make it work.

The fabricator runs off of one gasoline per 15 minutes. I only put one gasoline in at a time to keep people from accidentally turning it on.

Yah, I know about how the fabricator works, I do the same thing. I was just mentioning it in relation to the generator because I don't know how the generator works/consumes fuel as I have yet to set up mine which was relevant to the consumption rate complaint.

Then you should have asked about generators. Generators use 1 gasoline every 30 minutes. ;)
