Best methods for knocking out?
Alright so here's the deal. I absolutely LOVE this mod. However. That being said, i am NOT in love with the tremendous RIDICULOUS amount of torpor ceiling these creatures have. The best way from what i've seen is to use the specialized tranq darts from the mod itself. However the issue with this is it STILL seems to take a tremendous amount of darts and even then the dart gun itself breaks after a very short while. Don't even get me started on using regular arrows or darts. What the hell are you guys doing that i am not? I don't want to ruin the experience by cranking up torpor settings for the server but i may be forced too. These darts are expensive, the gun is VERY expensive and when you live on the island in the beach, it's very difficult and dangerous to make these high value resource runs for darts and guns every 20 minutes. Any tips?

Alright to put this in MY perspective. A giga's base torpor is 10,000. A level 40 Triceratops from this mod had 9000 torpor.....

have you tried using other tranq mods? such as the one that gives you a 15cc tranq dart that does like 70k torpor a hit(mind you this was against vanilla dinos on for the most part vanilla settings) hell even with the etrernal mod my buddys' server uses that 15cc tranq dart is very effective against lvl 300+ modded dinos

12,000 torpor a shot??? jeez. So my max level on my servers is 300. so i was hoping to avoid "cheesing" the taming experience and still making it fun and tough. So far the mods i have seen are these extremely overpowered ones, or like advanced chemistry where the work you put into these darts are very late game. I'm at a loss. I will have to take a look at this mod i suppose.

Do you know of anything just a tad weaker or more middle ground?

with modded dinos you sadly need to throw out the book of not cheesin tames...be happy you arent on the server i am on where dinos have up to TWO MILLION torpor

lol its the external dino mod....at lvl 300 they are extremely difficult to tame in terms of the amount of torpor they have

I have been using the Immersive Taming mod along side JPE in my single player game and loving it. Ever since I discovered Immersive Taming i have enjoyed it over the vanilla KO and shove food down its mouth style.

i love this mod, but the torpor amount totally ruins it, i had to uninstall. it seems stupid that the same species on the island has 100x the torpor as the vanilla species and they live together on the same map. and if i use tranq mods, it means either i one shot the vanilla dinos, or i can just say goodbye to taming JP ones.
