As this was in response to my bug report - I did so. I started a new game with no mods turned on but this one and used dev mode to produce the effect and once I stopped using the mod, the effect ceased. As I reported in the post that was deleted. So if it's not happening for you, I'm not sure what the difference could possibly be. I'm as surprised as you but the only reason I ended up even checking this mod was because multiple other people online had reported the exact same experience. Pretty strange!
