PenguinPiracyMod Official Bug Report Thread
A discussion thread for any bugs you encounter with my mod. This can include, but isn't limited to:
-Any of my content clearly causing crashes, or not functioning properly
-Possible mod incompatibilities/issues


Please be descriptive with your reports, and remember that I need as much information as possible to address bugs. (If something's not occurring on my end, that can make things very difficult...)


Your Starbound.log file of the session where an issue occurred can also be helpful. (Please paste log information into spoilers)

For some reason, whenever I start the game and go to the create a character menu, i dont see the penguin race anywhere. I have a race extender already and I know the mod's installed as the penguins are in the bottom left corner of the main menu. If I have to I'll download the mod manually but i'd rather use workshop for automatic updates.

Are you subscribed to one of the respective penguin addon mods I implemented last night?

I've been doing a lot of clean up and reorganizing lately... Lol

They're lightweight mods, that enable them to appear in the creation menu (you will of course still need your race extender)

It should be. Before I started using my own extender, that was the extender I used to use

I noticed while playing as a masked penguin that I was unable to actually enter the Erchius Mining Facility Building. I don't know if the problem is on my side or the mod's, but I wasn't having this problem before I installed the mod.

I had the same problem. I just ran up and down the door til it opened. I think its due to the sensor being placed too high for shorter races. Can happen with regular sensors if placed too high as well.

Yep, that's been a thing for some time. Penguinoids are too short. For an easy time with that particular door: Jump in front of the sensor. Lol

I found myself unable to recruit penguin crew members. I think it might be because im also playing with earths finest crew improvements.

It might just be me doing something wrong but when I go other to a penguin with a dubloon they just talk normally.

How many are you attempting to talk to them with?


Penguin Mercenaries in the PenguinPiracyMod can pull from a larger, more potent pool of weapons.. and as a result, their fee is a bit higher. It takes five dubloons to hire them here!

i messed around with this and couldnt craft anything in or out of admin after disabling it for some reason? i did some testing and it also affects new characters i make

Hm. Are you using any other mods worth noting? A glance into the Starbound.log made during one of the sessions with this issue could also help.

new problem: holding the S key seems to send puffins into a siezure and they can fall through platforms without needing to hit the spacebar.

I am unsure if this happens with all penguinoid races or if it's just the puffin.
