How to enter the fort on Raid of Nassau mission?

I've completed all the objectives except taking the fort. I have the thing completely surrounded but cannot enter. The only way in is the big door in the back that is apparently locked or something. My men won't climb the walls. I tried blowing down the door with artillery. How do i get in to complete the objective?

I think you have to use a couple of grenades, I got stuck for a while on that one too.
