Bug with scrolling?
I love the look of the particles flying around my screen but after a some time (10 mins average) my scroll wheel changes the particles to another scene. I can reset this by restarting Wallpaper Engine but it happens again.

Is this a bug or my PC because it's getting really annoying and it's a shame I won't want to use it.

I also have this problem. I feel like it wasn't happening before.

I'm glad it's not only me then.

I have the exact same issue. It switches to a different particle system whenever I use the scroll. I have tried to search for a config file but with no luck. Has anyone found a solution for this?

Just recently this stopped happening for me. I'm not sure what changed.

i had this issue. it stops if you select the wallpaper, change the settings as you like and then after a restart it works fine. just dont change it again it will need a restart :)

I know this forum is quite old, but I figured out a way to stop the scrolling switch from happening (albeit not a great solution).

If you've got the scrolling issue active, switch to a different background then switch back. Instead of closing down Wallpaper Engine, just minimise it. Keep it running in the background. I noticed that the scroll wheel issue never starts this way.

It's not a fix, but it does the trick. I really like the particle effects in this one so hopefully others can appreciate it too now :)
