@infixo Hey, thank you for your mod. However, I currently have the same issue as @andrea1701

I am playing as Rome with your mod and the Real Tech Tree one, the era at which the game is supposed stop is Renaissance (4). I set the speed to Renaissance at the Last Era but I am going through the change of era notifications despite being still in Renaissance regarding the tech tree.

I would not usually mind the problem but I ran in a bigger issue : a world congress is asking me to vote for a boost of a program in an empty list. I suspect the program to be one of the era the game notified me about without having the technologies.

Hence, I remain blocked to the congress without the possibility to continue my game.

The only difference I could think of would be that my game was set on unlimited turns while having Renaissance as the last era. Is it related ? Thanks

@vazjs Ok, some game setup params must break something. I need details of how you setup your game. Because my games don't go after the last era, as I explained in one of previous posts. So: last era = 4, game speed = ?, custom calendar = ?, turn limit = unlimited. At what turn (more or less) did the game era switched from Renaissance to Industrial? Because I assume the problem is that somehow game era moved to Industrial? Last request. Please zip and post somewhere DebugGameplay.sqlite from Cache folder (main civ dir). I would like to check your DB directly, see how those eras are configred.

I think I found the source of the problem.

As I suspected, the turn limit set on unlimited is the cause of the problem.

In order to verify that hypothesis, I ran two tests :

test n°1 : starting era Renaissance, last era Renaissance, calendar on Renaissance, turn unlimited.
-> from the start the game pops up the notification, 10 turns later, the industrial era starts (without techs).

test n°2 : same settings (map, turns, era, etc.), except I set the turn limit on the "classic" setting (so 500).
-> the game starts at turn 370, with the right calendar for Renaissance, and no notification of change of era in sight, even after some turns.

In my "bugged" game, the issue started at around turn 200 (on unlimited), and entirely blocked the game on turn 270 ish (due to the world congress).

I hope it will help you with your mod and others with a similar issue.

"No turn limit" is responsible for the issue. I tested it. However, I cannot make the mod working with that. It requires the removal of actual Eras from the main table. The game crashes in the next turn but the message "era ends in x turns" is gone. The last era really lasts infinitely.
In summary: please don't use "no turn limit" with the mod.
Thanks for checking. I started a new game with a turn limit, and it works well so far. I love your mod.
My only concern is: does the same bug appear if I decide to continue playing after the end of the last turn ?

@vazjs Yes, it will. If you want to play longer than e.g. 500 turns, then use custom number of turns and set like 1000. As long as there is a fixed number, the las era will last until last turn.

I'm a bit new to the game, and immediately starting playing with a series of mods, so my experience without your mod (and a few others) is quite limited.

From what I gather, I'm supposed to get an Oligarchy Legacy Card once I complete the warlords throne (or possibly any of the other two buildings) as long as I have an Oligarchy government (which I do). Obviously I need the government plaza to do this, but once all of those have been met aren't I supposed to see a wildcard policy with the Oligarchy legacy? I do have Rise & Fall + Gathering Storm DLC's.

I'm not seeing it, and I don't think that any of the other mods I have would change this:

RTT (as recommended by you)
x5 research

My apologies if I've misunderstood how this is supposed to work.

@syntax As long as you have entire Classical era, which is always the case, because there is no option to remove it, the game will behave exactly as the vanila game. So your question is about how the game works, this is unaffected by the mod.
And in this case, I can’t remember from the rop of my head. Devs change gov related cards and bonuses with every xpac. Maybe ask on a bigger forum or somebody else will answer here.

hmm, it may be something else then. I uninstalled AI+ (through steam) and started a new game with the same mod set, but this time I installed Real Strategy (figured they would be compatible!) and got the laser projects as soon as I built a campus.

Must be one of my other mods then.
