Mount & Blade: Warband

Prophesy of Pendor v3.9.5
What? Guns in PoP now?
After looking in a chest in a city somewhere (don't want to spoil it for other players and ruin ht efun of looking!) I happened to find a bag of bullets. Is there a certain merchant running around selling guns like in Nova Aetas, or is it a unique item in another chest somewhere?

Yes. It's frankly kind've dumb since the game is set in like the year 400

"... year 400 ..." but where? Because it is definitely not Earth, not human history. In this universe they could develop Death Star by year 400.

My only problem with guns being introduced, is that there's only one available to the player, via hiring an companion, and the ammo for that one gun is hidden. To make matters worse, if you sold the ammo, not realizing that it would be the only one you'd ever see in the game, you're out of luck. Might as well sell the gun also. Did I do that? Yep. Am I salty about it? Yes, very. :P

Both are possible to buy in a special shop. And both will be restocked ad well.

There is not "only one available to the player, via hiring an companion", Barcay troops have gunners, they drop bullets, large bags of bullets, guns.

The gun is sort of fun but not nearly as powerful as a bow or melee weapon under high power draw or strike. What it is good for is early game might, low combat stat characters, and basically replacing the crossbow until you get an elite tier one. (Aside from just loving guns)

Oh? What and/or where is the special shop? Or is that still in the future?

Ok, so that's more than one, potentially. It still requires you to find Barclay enemy units, and hope they drop bullets. The shop that was mentioned sounds much more reasonable.

I think it will be better if a faction(Empire prefered) use guns in they army.(srry bad english)
Jason Voss Aug 23, 2018 @ 7:33am
Then you can buy guns and bullets in Empire towns.

When you become grandmaster for your KO you'll be given a quest to capture a fortress from snake cultists. Once you do that and wait a few in game months you'll be able to go into the renovated fortress and buy guns and ammo from a vendor

Thanks for that information. :)
