Sound effects
So I'm just trying to find out so I can modify them, when playing this mod you get sound effects when on the world map - eg. wolf howling, thunder etc.

The problem is they are waaay too obnoxiously loud, like ear piercing for me with my headphones on, and I don't want to have to turn sounds down for everything just because of that. So I'm thinking of either getting rid of them or if I can altering their loudness. Simple question is do these sounds mean anything important ie. do I want/need to keep them?

If no, will deleting them cause the mod to crash?

Also, I have barely played the mod at this point. So if anyone can point out exactly which sounds I need to be looking for (assuming there are others I haven't heard so far) it would be appreciated. Can't really find much online about this.

There is folder with sounds and music files in POP directory - check them in your preferred player and replace selected with the silent ones (the same name). You can try deleting them, but it may affect stability.

Ok, so I can replace them without any negative affect to the gameplay (I'm not missing out by not having those sounds eg. it being a que or message for something)?

Every important sound message is accompanied by text displayed on the screen.
