[EN] FAQ
This is the English version of this post.

Where are the buttons / Character Panel etc.
Take a look at the screenshots (e.g.) and try to figure out by yourself. Do not ask again please.

Clear all settings (Delete save files)
1. Close this wallpaper & WE.
2. Remove "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Project-AZUSA" in your registry.
3. Go to "C:\Users\{YourUserName}\AppData\LocalLow\Project-AZUSA\NekoWallpaper\" and delete all files which don't have an extension (e.g. NekoSave). If you can't find that path, try "%APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Project-AZUSA\NekoWallpaper\".

Click not working
It may caused by low privileges. Try:

0. Firstly, just rapidly click on desktop for some times and hope it works.
1. Find Wallpaper Engine path, usually X:\...\Steam\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine
2. Set wallpaper64.exe, wallpaper32.exe and launcher.exe to run as administrator
3. Restart Wallpaper Engine
4. (Optional) WE Setting->General->Misc->Click "Set high prioirty".

If you still have similar problem, check your anti-virus software(even Windows Defender) and add WE and this app to whitelist.
Also try update your (graphic card) drivers.
Also try to close any desktop tools or gadgets.

No sound
Enable and turn up sound in Character Panel. Update your audio card driver.

Lagging when playing sound
Wallpaper Settings - Performance - Playback - Other Application playing audio: set it to "Keep Running".
Please update your audio card driver.
If you're using a MSI computer, try to disable Nahimic related services.

Lagging when "watch mouse" is enabled
Try set mouse polling rate to a small value.

Freeze or lagging
In WE Settings, try to set wallpaper "Keep running" instead of "Pause".

Issues about Mascot Mode
Read Mascot Instructions, if that doesn't solve your problem, suggest me to remove this feature.

The cat didn't appear
* Select a cat in Character panel.
* Click "Reset Position".
* Click "Manual Save" and restart the wallpaper.
* Clear all settings.
* Check if your anti-virus software had deleted our files.

Background picture I set is not showing in fullscreen
Windows 8/10's new scale(DPI) setting would cheat our app by giving us fake resolution. For example, if your real resolution is 2000x1000 and set scale to 200%, then we might got a 1000x500 resolution. In that case, your picture is scaled to half of the screen size. But still you can use the slider on top-right to resize.

There is a warning when I open it
That's because this is an application wallpaper, so you have to check it's safe by yourself. The warning doesn't always means the wallpaper is actually unsafe. It just shows on every application wallpaper. You may have to check again after this wallpaper gets updated.

More costumes?
Firstly, adding models needs time because the models need to be processed (e.g. add some animations).
Secondly, I might get banned by $@%#&^

So let's see how far we can go...

Why they don't have feet
Those parts are not drawed at first - in original game, since you don't have any chance to see those parts in such a galgame.

Live2D vs Emote
Neko series don't use Live2D. They use Emote since it works better on krkr engine (since M2. mainly develops krkr games).
In fact Live2D is more open and active, with a better editor, while Emote editor is (also) made using their "powerful" krkr galgame engine and of course, it's hard to use.

If you want to play with Live2D, there is an analogous Live2D wallpaper. It's NOT developed by me, and it has "run out of beta", "releasing on time" and ready for sell in near future. Here is the free version: Live2DViewerEX Lite (There is a full version in Steam store.)

When I logged into Windows, the screen is pink and it crashed
It may caused by Unity, in fact I have no idea about the exact reason, but Unity seems doesn't like to be launched at system initialization time. Pink is the error color of Unity when it failed to load the shader. If you have a solution please tell me. For now I recommend you to set the windows service of WallpaperEngine to "Delayed (Start)". It still has risk to crash on some circumstances.

When I launching Full-screen games it crashed
Yet another problem caused by Unity, this time with WE. Conclusion: Unity does't like you staring at other hot (I mean full-screen) girls when she is running. If you did, she crashs. I think it may caused by:
1. Your game takes too much VRAM so we don't have enough for our rendering.
2. Full-screen games (except borderless window) will try to set your screen resolution, which is fatal for Unity. You can try switching screen resolution by yourself and Unity also crashs. Besides, I tested with osu! on borderless window full-screen mode and our wallpaper didn't crash.

Why sometimes it trys to connect to "config.uca.cloud.unity3d.com" when startup?
It's a hardware info collection service by Unity, and it can't be disabled unless I paid Unity for a pro version which is too expensive for me.
Since 2018-11, we enabled another service by Unity - Unity Analytics telemetry to collect anonymous crash data. This will help me fix potential bugs and let me know my active user count, to decide if I should spend my poor limited personal time a little more on this.
If you really care about it, just block it from accessing internet with your firewall.

Can I run it on Linux?
This wallpaper is unable to port to Linux for now, but you can try to run it on Linux via Wine. For detail see @Wizard30's attempt.

Report log
If you're asked to send log file to me, find "C:\Users\{YourUserName}\AppData\LocalLow\Project-AZUSA\NekoWallpaper\", there are some ".log" and ".txt" files, find them and send them to me via email.

What you asked are obvious and not issues.
Both are not implemented for now. Just wait.

So it ran in 60FPS for several days, after ONE wallpaper change, it became stuttery and really laggy. Any fixes?

I don't really recommend wallpaper(I mean system wallpaper, automatically or manually) changing when using this live wallpaper. As an application wallpaper, this live wallpaper may be affected in many situations like RAM/VRAM running out or something which I can't handle. Just restart it.
You may also check whether you has disabled High FrameRate mode by the CPU-like button on top-right. If so, it runs in 30FPS, which remarkably decrease CPU usage with only a slight laggy.
