Weapons+ VS Vanilla Damage
Hello. First off let me say I love this mod and how flexible it can be. I am looking to start up a new server and want to include this in the mod list. However using it before has brought up a few questions as to how to balance it out. I was comparing some of the numbers you have in the default INI settings on the main page, to some of the numbers in the weapons section of the ARK wiki. My thoughts are to adjust these settings in such a way where the weapons are not to over powered and the basic bullets do vanilla damage while AP do 10% more damage. So my question is:

If say on the wiki the Fabricated Sniper Rifle does 165 Damage and I wanted the same here and make AP rounds do say 10% more damage. I would configure my INI file to read:

FabSniperBulletDamage=165 FabSniperAPBulletDamage=181 FabSniperTranqBulletTorper=100

Shotgun to do the same, with a 10% increase on AP Rounds and a 30% on Explosive

ShotgunAmmoDamage=644 ShotgunAPAmmoDamage=708 ShotgunExplosiveAmmoDamage=837

or is shotgun ammo counted on a per pellet damage at 14 pellets shot so I would want to put in total damage and divide that by 14 to get my INI setting. For example

ShotgunAmmoDamage=46 ShotgunAPAmmoDamage=51 ShotgunExplosiveAmmoDamage=60

Is this correct? Or do these values fall into an algorithm for calculating what the exact damage output will be each time you pull the trigger?

I am afraid to report that I had not gotten any info back on this from the DEV. However after I posted this I did spend some time toying with the mod myself and what I found was that my calculations were correct on my server anyway. I have not used this mod in some time now however so I can not say if anything has changed. But I wanted to at least take the time to reply to you so you were not left hanging.

Thanks @Bmills. This is exactly how I want to configure my servers (non-AP = vanilla; AP = boosted). The firearms we use most are: revolver, fab pistol, sniper rifle, and shotgun, so I'll start by researching/resetting these values, and go from there.

... once the Gen2 plague has been solved by the developer. :)
