MOD broken?
I absolutely cannot get this mod to work. I have zero mods running besides this. It's enabled for single, multi, saved, etc. The files are intact in the /MODS folder. I confirm mod load of saved game, no religions have been formed in my game yet (very very early BC), I used great prophet to found first religion......nothing...just vanilla religions.
I had this mod enabled before I started a brand new game.
This hasn't been updated in about 7 or 8 months; did a game patch/update break it?
I'm puzzled. Help! :)

Having the same problem, using a great prophet gets me vanilla religions and lets me select the beiefs but wont let me actually found it when the mod is active.

I figured out my own problem. :)
The mod needs to be loaded and a NEW GAME started. You can't import the MOD on top of an old save.

Whenever I load a game with this (after founding a religion before 1st save), it screws up the city screen and says that the city's building a worker, has spy and diplomat icons below it, and the religion icon is always buddhism. anyone else having this problem?

You literally quoted the solution. You have to load MODS, then select the relgion mod, then start a brand new game THROUGH the MOD sub-menu. You can't start the new game from the main menu. You have to drill into the MODS menu to start the new game.

The same process must be done in case you want to load a saved game that was started with this MOD. Unfortunately the game isn't smart enough to remember which mods were used when you begun. So you must select this MOD again when you want to resume a game that was previously saved (with this MOD).

If you don't the game will show up as corrupted. It isn't actually, you just need to load the MOD and then load the game from the saved file.
