It would be intresting to say the least if you could do something with the dead monsters bodies. (more so than making meals/meat that makes people crazy). Perhaps make some basic psychic 1 use equipment via a production table. I love how this mod adds more enemnies, but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of a reward element to these monster encounters.

Do you intend to add the color out of space? It would act sort of like a toxic ship crash, but more insidious in that it infects your colinists with a syndrome of some sort that causes them to wander increasingly near it and eventually turn to dust.

Two questions: Why are the Deep Ones so big, and why are they so aggressive? According to the lore[lovecraft.wikia.com], they are supposed to be approximately human-sized amphibians who prefer to interbreed with humans, as opposed to simply breaking down their doors and wrecking their ♥♥♥♥.

If you're going to keep the oversized fish-monsters as they are, at least take another look at when they should start appearing (i.e., according to the wealth of the colony) to at least ensure that beginners don''t have their ♥♥♥♥ pushed in just because Randy thought it would be funny to introduce them during the first season. Thanks.

They Deep Ones are so aggressive, because they havent had the human sacrifices they are used to. I think you should read Shadow over Innsmouth, its closer to the source than any Lovecraft wikki. :)

Fair point, although I'll question why the Deep Ones still show up in a biome far from any oceans, then.

What would be nice would be the introduction of an event where a Deep One representative comes to your colony and demands a sacrifice of a pawn within X hours, or they will attack - you can select to choose a colonist, turn over a prisoner, or refuse (selecting a colonist would open a new window where you choose from a menu, and the entire colony would get a mood debuff as if someone was sold into slavery - or worse, given their intent). :)

Well who knows what they think or choose to do? They are an strange life form that worship Great Cthulhu. They do his bidding in any way he sees fit.


The best quote I've seen that gives GM's writers and all justification for many things in the design of their Mythos games is...

So Deep Ones in space? (Deep Space!) Why not? :)

Oh and I love your idea of a Deep One colony demanding sacrifices. :)

if you get dark young as pets could you make so they will eat the strange meats but the young Only eat normal meat and not strange meat they destory strange meat so you can keep a dark young as a pet to destory the strange meat

Cook them into lavishing meals and forbid your colonists from eating them. Then sell them.
