Animals going insane

How do I stop my tamed animals going insane, in my last game my 6 day old puppy attacked my melee tank and got killed how do I stop this from happening? if possible, this has also started happening to my other animals.

I made the same mistake but it took a while to figure out since lots of my lizards had brain damage from toxic fallout and hypothermia. I crafted like 2k of it too, now its stashed away in a cave like toxic waste.

You should tame Dark Young with strange kibble, and make sure it's the only food they can eat when they're tame.. It really helps you out.
