One time I tried playing a hotseat game of this with someone. The game itself went fine, but when I tried to load it the next day I ran into problems. Like I could only load the save through the multiplayer tab, which I could only access without loading any mods. And when I tried doing that the game had an error. Not exactly a crash, but an error that force closed the game. And I would love to continue that game.
