How do I re-enable saving?

It doesn't matter if theres a few bugs, I would like to be able to save my games in SP

You really, really can't. Unfortunately, it wouldn't cause 'a few bugs', it'd cause everything to stop working. You'd load your game and be walking around an empty map.
