This might sound Stupid, but ...
... how am I supposed to take the Outposts, wich are marked as a Castle on the Map? I tried everything with a friend, I took the nearest Radiotower and Ressource point and I killed every Patrol in this little village, but nothing worked, we even killed every singel citizen at the end? Please could someone help me and tell me how I can take those small villages?:NATO:

To expand a little....

Imagine you were the leader of a paramilitary group and you wanted to invade Sunningdale in Surrey.....I don't know why, maybe you're just a huge Cliff Richard fan or something. So you get your 10 man group together, charge into Sunningdale and set up outside Waitrose, near the station, raise your banner and announce:

"Sunngindale is now under the protection of the Peoples Popular Peoples Front!" or whatever.

What's gonna happen?

Chances are, the people of Sunningdale are going to point and laugh on their way to Waitrose and everything will continue as normal until you get bored / hungry / annoyed with the manager at Waitrose cos they won't accept SteveOhBoyDollars, and bugger off home again.

Ok, being slightly more helpful now: At HQ you'll find a whiteboard with a map on it. Look at that and use the Arma middle mouse menu and you'll find various options, one of them (think it's map info) will take you to an interactive map, click on any town and you'll see total population, % that support NATO and % that support you. These generally won't add up to 100% cos lots of people couldn't care less and don't support either side. In order to get a town / village to switch to your side you need to have more support in that town than NATO does.

You get support in towns by doing nice things, for example, shooting NATO soldiers, delivering supplies, rescuing refugees, etc, etc. You lose support by doing bad things.....like shooting civilians. Tip: Every time you see a message like 'NATO Prestige +1' appear for a second, that means someone on your side has just killed a civilian.

V IMPORTANT: Radio towers make a massive difference. Every town will be receiving propaganda from it's nearest radio tower (at outposts). Whichever side owns that radio tower will NOT be slowly losing support, ie if you don't own that radio tower then your support level will be slowly dropping and there are only two things you can do about it: 1) Capture the outpost so you own the tower. 2) Blow up the tower so everyone is losing support.

Thank you for you help, even with the nice story thing at the beginning :D but the problem on my side was, that I wasnt able to get for the tiny villages any support, like there were no missions appearing and noone to rescue or anything. It is some time ago, where I tried this, could you maybe tell me how to find those missions?
Swoop Jul 9, 2018 @ 1:35pm
No missions appearing? That's odd.

Try walking up to the fella at HQ and on the middle mouse menu will be an option to request a mission. Er.....or it might be off the Y menu while looking at him. Damn, it's been so long since I've played as the commander I can't remember.

Either way, you can request missions of various types. Only one of each type can be active at once so if you request a 'logistics mission' you'll either get a city supply mission (crate that has to be taken somewhere and guarded til it's unloaded) or a steal the ammo truck mission (clue's in the name for that one). Whichever one you get must be completed and time out before you can request another.
