Deep Sea beacons: your suggestions
Hello!

Some asked me about the deep sea beacons and whether I could show them some love. I agree, they're ... a bit underwhelming when you use my mod. Not that I actually found one though.. ;)

Any suggestions what you would want them to spawn and how? I have a general idea what to do, and as my server is now unused I can focus on your thoughts better than before.

Any ideas?

Einige haben mich über die Unterwasser-beacons ausgefragt und ob ich denen nicht etwas Liebe entgegenbringen könnte. Richtig, mit meinem Mod sind sie etwas .. wenig berauschend. Nicht dass ich eine gefunden hätte ;)

Habt ihr Vorschläge was und wie da droppen sollte? Ich habe einige Ideen, was ich machen könnte - und da mein Server nun unbenutzt ist kann ich mich noch eher auf euch einlassen.

Irgendwelche Ideen?

Es könnten vielleicht hochwertige Blaupausen in den Unterwasser-beacons drinn sein für Sättel ,Rüstungen und Waffen , rote oder gelbe

Na, das ist schon wieder zu einfach :) das ist einfach nur der Hauptmod und der existiert ja schon. Ich weiß, du meinst noch bessere Qualität damit man nicht einfach die normalen Beacons suchen kann und dasselbe Ergebnis erzielt. Hatte ich auch schon im Hinterkopf.

Wie wär's mit hochwertigen Items + seltene Resourcen, wie z. B. absorbent substrate, black pearls, Broth of Enlightenment, etc.? Also diese Dinge immer in Kombination.

Sowas denkt zu speziell. Ich werd mal den Gedanken los, den ich schon lange hatte: nerf endlich die overpowerten regular beacons, die Leute farmen die bis zum Abwinken für Ascendant-bp's. Stecke in die Unterwasser-beacons so was wie genau zwei Bp's und ein Item rein und geb denen die Qualitätslevel der dann ehemaligen regular beacons, done. Vielleicht etwas weit gegriffen, aber wäre denkbar. Leider kann ich euch auch nicht die bereits gesammelten bp's wegnehmen ;)

Edit: absorbent substrate und Items daraus droppen in regular reds, will drauf mal hinweisen

Bitte lass die regulären so in etwa wie sie sind... Bisher hatte ich ziemlich wenig Glück bei dem,was ich speziell gesucht hab (Therizino Sattel mit Journeyman oder besser & MC/ASC Spino Sattel)... Und: Deep Sea Crates sind ein Horror für mich da ich ne Phobie vor großen Meereslebewesen hab! :-D

Irgendwie muss ich ja dennoch den Unterwasser-beacons einen Reiz geben, sie zu suchen. Und das geht vielleicht am besten, wenn ich die regulären kräftig nerfe - das ist mein Gedanke

Maybe you should drop actual Mastercraft+ Items such as saddles ect. in caves and undersea crates. Leave blueprints for the surface. Even with the beaver/thorny dragon, some blueprints remain uncraftable due to the 300 slot limitation on dinos. Even with the smithy mods, I think 500 slots is the highest I've seen. (Admittedly they've said the issue will be fixed by the tech tier replicator, which if the recent patch notes are to be believed, will be ariving sometime around Jan 30th. Still, that will supposedly require the new element resource, so I can still see the benefit of some sort of instant payoff type thing, either from undersea crates or caves (I'm not sure if your mod touches the caves yet))

That's also an idea, of course. The main issue I have with that is that a bp is (almost always) reusable, a fully crafted item drop only gives you one, even if instantly.

Well, I've been thinking.

My main problem is: fully crafted item or bp, you always have adavantages as well as disadvantages.
Full item: gain full access instantly without having to craft. However, lose it and you're probařbly left with nothing, if you can't find it.
Bp: lost it, still? No prob, craft it again. Want more than 1? Craft more and you all are fine. However, face high resource costs.

It's hard to decide what should be on the surface. I think bps are fine as they are. Perhaps I could increase the chance to 50%, make them independent from the item set you drop (so every bp drops with the same probability), but drop the maximum quality a bit in exchange. Thats my thought.

As for deep seas or caves maybe (what do regular caves actually drop?), I though about letting them drop hybrid: eg 2 crafted items and 2 bps of any item you can apply quality to (ascendant wooden club op). Here, the mininum quality could be above standard (which wont mean you cant drop primitive stuff, still), and the maximum around the current surface beacons...

Id love to see a bit of a bigger chance to get a quality (green or blue would be better already than only primitive) item or BP on the surface, but for the cave and ocean drops you could easily give the thrill of not knowing what youll get. That amazing mastercraft item? or maybe a beautious acendant BP? Who knows?!
