Whats with the "possible equips" text in the Pirate/Rho mech vehicle files? What's with the pyro cutlass?

D-V4 Hero Mech What is it's Alternate ability? Its not doing nothin but a holodisplay for me x.x

So i been fighting stuff and i cant figure out it's ability. it drains energy like mad, but doesnt do anything... just shows a projection ahead of itself. i have no idea what it does.. can someone tell me what i need to do to use it?

Oh crap, sorry for the late reply! The alternate ability on the mech pushes things away from it.
